2005 FOALS FOR SALE

'05 Foal of Bell Ways Socks

'05 Foal of BH Dialing Circus (Cutface)

'05 Foal of Major Star Jet (Bonanza)

'05 Foal of BH Kitty Hancock (Abby Palomino)

'05 Foal of BH San Peppy Cash

'05 Foal of SZ Smug Lena

'05 Filly of BH Hancock Lena (#14)

 Weanlings:  $1,500 to $2,000

 Started yearlings:  $2,000 to $3,000

2 year olds:  $4,500

My pricing is based upon age, color, training and talent.  For example, a $1500 weanling might be cheaper if it were a plain brown filly with no special breeding and has a wire cut.  Or, a really friendly palomino "Ole Eagle" colt with a nice big hip, thin neck, big kind eye, out of a Sun Frost mare would be more than $1500.  It costs about $300 to feed each horse to two years old.  Add another $300 if he can be ridden to check cattle and about $500 more per set of shoes after that.  When he is ready to enter jackpots the price may rise considerably.  They have all started winning $$$.

SMUG REED * THE OLE MAN * JET SMOOTH * FROSTY TOPS

SZ Quarter Horses starts with foundation mares who boast "legends" in their pedigree and are bred to running horse bloodlines.  Exceptionally nice dispositions, heavy bone, muscle and performance can be found in these colts.  Our traditional style mares are pasture bred and spend the summer and fall on steep, timbered terrain. There are a variety of horses to choose from at all age ranges, color, and time under saddle.  We breed with a heavy rope horse emphasis, however there are plenty of "speed horses" in the bunch as well.  If you're looking for a solid rodeo, performance, ranch, or pleasure prospect come and see what we have to offer!

THE RANCH MARES

The mares are from such lineage as Smug Reed, Rigging Ring, Yellow Cat Star, Wilson's Yellow Cat, Seminole Charlie, Bert and Eight Bird Jr.  They are bred to quiet, gentle studs known for speed.  Several mares came from the Bobby Hurley rope horse program and are often referred to as "BH Horses".
